MICROPHONE USE

Microphone (MIC) use

It’s important that the audience hear what you have to say, all the hard work you put in your speech can easily be overshadowed by NOISE, noise is what audience hears when you moving your mouth away from the microphone, speaking too far away, speaking too close into the microphone, and yes feedback. Below is a list of suggestions on how to properly use a microphone.

The basics:

1: When you approach the microphone set it level to your mouth. If it’s a hand-held, hold it level to your mouth, keeping it the same distance in all directions when you move your head.

2: When speaking, the microphone should not be no more than 3 inches away from your mouth and no closer than 1 inch.

3: Hear yourself, when you speak you must be able to hear yourself clean and clear.

That’s it!

Remember; a great speech can be exceptional when the audience can hear you.
